I was reading Psalms 61:1-8 (ESV) this morning. My prayer is to always have Jesus (Yeshua) as my refuge! King David made many mistakes, but the one thing he always did was call on God to deliver him out of the many wrong paths of life he went down. I can see my life and the mistakes I have made. Just as King David called on God. I called on Jesus to be my refuge and deliver.
Many times God has delivered His people in the old testament. Moses, Joshua, Gideon, and King David are just a few. In spite of all the times, we may mess up and be on the wrong path. I must never forget that God is in control and prayer changes things for the situations we may be in. I have included just one time when King David was in a pickle (bad time).

Psa 61:1 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
Psa 61:2 from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,
Psa 61:3 for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
Psa 61:4 Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
Psa 61:5 For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Psa 61:6 Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!
Psa 61:7 May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
Psa 61:8 So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.
I pray today and always that the Lord will be our refuge in the good and hard times. Blessings and Shalom.
